With a team of over 20 years of experience in the field, SF Capital delivers high quality investment banking services across Africa. It has offices in Mauritius, Senegal and Dubai, and strategic partners in Nigeria and the United States.

We work with various groups of clients including Financial Institutions, Governments, and Corporate clients. Thanks to its solid knowledge of the African market, SFC provides tailor-made solutions to meet its customers’ needs.

So far, we have carried out missions in Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal.

Moustapha Sow

Founder and Chairman

Founder of SF CAPITAL, Moustapha Sow is an investment and development banker by profession. Issued from the African diaspora in Canada, M Sow is one of Senegal’s leading entrepreneurs.  He successfully created SF GROUP, a pan-African investment management company comprising:

  1. SF Capital SA, which has structured more than €8 billion since it’s inception in 2017 across Africa  to finance infrastructure projects & trade finance transactions, including the famous  Programme spécial de désenclavement (a post-Covid economic recovery program of €700 million for the state of Senegal ).
  2. MICROSEN, the first microfinance institution in Senegal (Microsen), with the aim of strengthening its contribution to the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Senegal and Africa; Is focused on the autonomy of women and young people. Since it’s acquisition the bank balance sheet has grown 7-fold.
  3. WAHC, specialized in healthcare infrastructure development and financing solutions in Africa for both public and private clients, since 2019.
  4. INNOVO, which is SF Capital’s main strategic partner in developing the best poke financing solution for infrastructure projects in the francophone region. INNOVO SENEGAL is the operational subsidiary in charge of the management, monitoring, and evaluation of planned, ongoing projects and programs in the region.  

Moustapha Sow’s expertise in financing infrastructure and trade on the African continent is internationally recognized and has been praised on more than one occasion. Most recently, he was nominated by an American Business Journal as one of the top 10 black CEOs to watch in 2023.

Moustapha is not only a fervent advocate of entrepreneurship as a catalyst for the development of young people but also the possible ways and means of achieving economic growth in Africa. To this end, in 2018, the « Moustapha Sow » Foundation was created, where this pan-Africanist and recognized philanthropist actively works in favor of women and young people. He has devoted more than €2 million promoting education (school renovation & scholarship programme) not forgetting the financing programme for women in rural areas which led to the acquisition of Microsen.

Lamine Mohamed SECK


Lamine Mohamed SECK, a graduate of Paris Dauphine and IAE Paris, has been appointed Managing Director of SF CAPITAL SA.

He holds an MBA from Paris Dauphine/IAE Paris and a DESS from CESAG in Dakar with certification in Corporate Finance by HEC Paris/FFI and in Islamic Finance by CIBAFI.

He has been a banker for over 10 years, specializing in structured finance and syndication; where he began his career at Citibank Senegal working  in operations control, where he learnt trade operations that would become his passion a few years later.

He joined Orabank, Senegal after a stint at CBAO and Crédit International. During his 7 years with Orabank, where he most recently held the position of Head of Multinational Clients, Lamine explored all aspects of corporate and project financing (Infrastructure, Oil & Gas-Telecoms, and Hospitality).

As a member of SF Capital’s Executive Committee and Managing Director, Lamine’s main mission will be to lead and coordinate the development and expansion strategy of the institution’s activities, both nationally and internationally.

Ibrahim NDIAYE

VP – Head of Projects and Structured Finance

Graduated from the prestigious Business School École Supérieure de Commerce d’Abidjan (ESCA), Ibrahim N’DIAYE has over 8 years of experience in Maghreb and Sub-Saharan Africa in Auditing, Strategy Consulting, Private Equity and Investment Banking, including M&A, Project Finance and Fundraising.

He has extensive experience of working with governments, financial institutions, private and public companies in structuring strategy, development projects, and deals totaling more than $ 4 bn with strong social impacts.

As Vice-President of SF Capital Ltd, Ibrahim oversees deals structuration, including origination, financial and legal structuration.

As a Mandela Washington Fellow Alumni, he has certificates in Public Management from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in Accra and from Arizona State University (ASU) in the USA, where he studied development of infrastructure projects.

He is also the incoming Impact Officer of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Abidjan Hub, Founding Curator of TEDxCocody and a FMVA holder.
