Moustapha SOW has extensive international experience in Corporate and Investment Banking. He was the former regional manager for Africa at the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (“ICIEC”), a member of the Islamic Development Group (“IDB”); Corporate Banking at UBA and Diamond Bank in Senegal, Bank of Montreal & Citigroup in Toronto, Canada. A distinguished lecturer in Capital Markets & Corporate Finance at masters’ level at Institut Africain de Management (“IAM”), a top tier African business school based in Dakar – Senegal. Moustapha’s strength is in market making, deal origination and capital/finance arrangement, which spans contract financing, export/import financing, acquisition financing etc., across many industries in Sub-Sahara Africa.
Moustapha is also the founder of SF Capital, a leading Africa-focused company offering investment banking services, with offices in Senegal, Mauritius and Dubai. He is a philanthropist and the founder of Moustapha SOW Foundation.

Strategic and entrepreneurial leader with over 20 years’ experience in banking, business strategy, M&A, credit rating, business development, investor relations et al. Consummate business strategist of over 16 years with requisite experience in corporate/SBU strategies, business reengineering, project management etc. An agile communicator able to define clear corporate goals and precisely articulate them at SBU level. Developed and led lean growth strategies and presided over various change management processes and business repositioning. Wale is a thought leader in strategy, financial analysis and business development across many segments and geographies. Adept at recognizing and capitalizing on key business strengths to turn around or enhance performance in both struggling and well-established businesses. Track record of returning loss-making business to profitability ahead of mandate.
His professional experience span across leading intitutions in Africa including Firstbank of Nigeria, Access Bank, UBA, Agusto & Co. etc. His last appointment was as the Managing Director FBNBank Senegal.
